Share the Road – It's the Law!

Many motorists are not aware that they are required by law to share the road with non-motorized traffic on all roads with the exception of limited-access highways (e.g. I-95). For more information about the state law requiring drivers to allow 3 feet when passing cyclists or pedestrians, please visit the Connecticut Department of Transportation website.

New State of CT Pedestrian Laws now in effect

The State of Connecticut is enacting important new laws to protect pedestrians. These laws went into effect October 1, 2021 and will help improve communication between pedestrians and drivers - so using the street will be safer for everyone. Please visit the Watch for Me CT website for more information.
